Roku Set Up

How to create a Roku® account

If you don't already have a Roku account, you will need to create one. It's free. Roku never charges any fees for creating a Roku account. Roku does require you to enter a credit card number when you create your account, but you can immediately remove it to prevent any unintended charges. They do this because people subscribe to channels on Roku. You won't be doing that. Our Spiritwood SeniorLivingNetwork App is sign-in only, so there will not be an option to purchase a subscription through Roku. The only charge you will be receiving is from the subscription you signed up for on our website. You will NOT be charged separately by Roku. Once you create a Roku account, you can download our SpiritwoodSeniorLivingNetwork Channel from the Roku Channel Store.

To create your account right away, visit my.roku.com/signup. You must use a valid email address to manage your account.

If you don't create a Roku account before plugging in your new device, you can create it when you activate your new device (see below). Instructions on how to set up your Roku are in the box. Simply plug the cable into the HDMI port on your TV, and plug the device into a wall outlet. Select the input (source) you used to connect the Roku.

Follow the instructions on your TV screen. Activate your new Roku by using your computer.

Create an account when activating your Roku device

When you first power on your Roku device, the activation process prompts you to create an account if you do not have one. For help with your specific Roku device, visit the setup page for more information.

How to add our channel to your Roku® streaming device

Just like your smartphone accesses an “app store” to add new applications, your Roku streaming device accesses the Roku Channel Store to add new channels. Use the Roku Search feature in the left navigation bar of the Roku home screen (or the “Search channel” bar from the web) to find the

Spiritwood SeniorLivingNetwork channel.

Once you see our App, click on it, and signing in will be exactly how you set it up on the website.
